About Mayor Houston
Mayor Houston shoulders the responsibility of fostering a harmonious balance between preserving traditions and encouraging progress. He oversees local government operations, ensuring that infrastructure is maintained efficiently despite budget limitations. Engaging with the community, the Mayor works to support economic development, small businesses, promote agriculture, and sustain the town’s vibrant culture through events and initiatives. He must attract younger residents while addressing the needs of an aging population, all while ensuring that historic landmarks and green spaces remain protected. Additionally, the Mayor collaborates with stakeholders to promote environmentally sustainable development that aligns with the town’s cherished identity.

Town Clerk
The Town Clerk works directly with the Mayor, Town Council, and the public. Many of the daily functions of the Town of Coosada are conducted through the Clerk’s office. The Clerk is the custodian of records, serves as Human Resource Manager, Licensing Clerk, and Chief Municipal Election Official, oversees the daily operation of Town Hall and manages all financial accounts for the Town.
